WHAT IS POST PROM?
...and other FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: WHAT IS POST PROM?
A: “Post Prom" refers to the after-prom party, a school-endorsed, parent-sponsored event held at the high school. It provides a safe, supervised environment for students to continue celebrating. It’s also a heck of a great time and core memory for most students! Post prom is remarkably affordable ($12/ticket last year) and provides hours of entertainment, games, food and giveaways to keep students having a good time through the night!
Q: HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
A: Come to our monthly meetings, read our bi-weekly email newsletter, participate in our Facebook group, and when you can, share your time and talents with this group. The littlest bit of involvement goes a long way, since Post Prom is all volunteer and donation-based! We will send out emails and make posts when we need help, or we need your help sharing information. Keep your eyes and ears open if you are not able to proactively commit to a specific committee. SHARE INFO WITH OTHERS! WE WANT ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS INVOLVED IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!
Q: WHAT DO OUR KIDS KNOW ABOUT POST PROM?
A: NOT MUCH. Since OFHS Prom is a Senior prom, many students don’t attend leading up to their senior year. Which means, every year, it’s a new thing. We will communicate to students about Post Prom and all it has to offer for them. We’ll share testimonials and pictures. We’re even considering getting some student ambassadors this year. BUT - MOST IMPORTANTLY - our students can know we’re working on Post Prom, but we don’t want them to FIND OUT THE THEME or event specifics. It should all be a big fun surprise for them on Prom night.
Q: WHEN IS PROM 2026?
A: 2026 Senior Prom is Saturday, May 16 @ Columbia Ballroom
Q: WHO IS LEADING THE CHARGE ON THIS EVENT?
A: This committee and all participants are parent volunteers. Meet the co-presidents and check out the committees to see how you can get involved!

Our open invite to JOIN IN:
The 2026 Post Prom planning committee is an inclusive group. We are looking for help, and open to suggestions. We want to provide an event that makes every attendee feel welcome, and offers food, entertainment, decor and prizing that provide enough variety that each student will find something that is a right-fit for them. Therefore, the more variety we have in representation via volunteers, the better our event will be for all.
Email us at post prom2026@gmail.com if you're unsure how to get started.
